LandLearn NSW Speech Spectacular
What's it all about?
The LandLearn NSW Speech Spectacular is a public speaking competition run by LandLearn NSW, the education portal form primary industries in NSW. The Speech Spectacular is free to enter and encourages students in stages 3,4 and 5 to voice their opinions on some important primary industry issues!
How does it work?
There are two public speaking rounds. Round one calls on students to prepare a two minute response to one of these topics, entered as an MP3 recording, due 29th of January 2012:
1. Social media is good for farmers
2. Farmers can't help climate change
3. The environment is what we eat
Round two, top speakers from each category are invited to give another speech on a new topic LIVE at the Dubbo Beef Spectacular in March 2012.
Congratulations to all the grand finalists at this year's 2011 LandLearn NSW Speech Spectacular. The calibre of entries was very high with some thoroughly researched, thought-provoking and entertaining speeches!
Prizes
The judging panel will consist of representatives from LandLearn NSW, NSW Primary Industries and The Land Newspaper. First prize in each category will receive $500, runner-up $250 and Rising Stars $100.
